Stephen D. Ebinger Elected to the Board of Two Not-for-Profit Organizations

12/22/2011

Stephen D. Ebinger, CPA, partner at J.H. Cohn LLP, one of the leading accounting and consulting firms in the United States, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Long Island chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (“CFMA”) and the Advisory Board of Contractors For Kids (“CFK”).  CFMA and CFK are two organizations that Steve commits his time to outside of his work. He is heavily involved in the Firm’s Construction Industry Practice, among other industry practices.

Steve has been a member of CFMA since the Chapter was formed more than 20 years ago.  The association is the only nonprofit organization that strives to meet the educational needs of construction financial professionals.  Currently, there are over 6,500 members in 87 chapters across the United States and Canada.

Steve has been an active member of Contractors for Kids for the past four years. The organization provides financial assistance to families on Long Island who have been impacted due to the illness, injury, or death of their child. CFK connects construction professionals with opportunities to give back to the community.

Steve has more than 25 years of experience serving entrepreneurial middle-market companies in the New York metropolitan area.  He has a strong background working with the construction, manufacturing, real estate, and wholesale distribution industries as well as expertise with professional service corporations and litigation support.  In addition, Steve has been qualified as an expert witness in construction-related litigation.  He also provides counsel on estate planning, business continuity, and matrimonial matters.
